Chemistry question #1785
Q:How do you find the solubility of a substance?
the answer
A:
Look in an index of chemical compounds such as the Merck Index available in most libraries. You just look up the compound listed in alphabetical order and, among many other things, it gives its solubility usually in water, and sometimes in various solvents like alcohol. Nowadays you can also use the Internet. Go to google and type in something like: solubility oleic acid, and you will find out the solubility of this compound.
